Artificial Intelligence, Welcome to the C-Suite.

AI

Who in your leadership is an expert on the impacts of global trauma, stress, and anxiety? Whose your specialist in pandemic response?

Do you have someone or a team that can assess and predict the effects of stress on consumer behavior? Who in your C-suite has the authority to make decisions based on market scenario planning? Whose your expert futurist?

Do they have the tools to find patterns and shifts quickly and accurately?

Houston, We Have a Problem

The results of Covid-19 on our global economy is evolving daily. Decisions affecting businesses and employment seem to be shifting as quickly as they can be Tweeted.

If Covid-19 teaches businesses nothing else, you need ready to be able to make big changes quickly and in the right direction

The only way to do this is to be able to anticipate change before it happens.

Predicting the Future isn't Science Fiction.

We're not talking about looking into a crystal ball and knowing a global pandemic is about to hit. It's executives being able to make fast, well-informed decisions.

This means you need detailed, relevant, live data. Then you need the ability to interpret data intuitively to fuel effective decision-making.

This is where Artificial Intelligence software comes in.

What is Artificial Intelligence, Really?

Those unfamiliar with working with AI tools often think of AI as being the all-knowing, evil supercomputer who takes over the world. Minus the whole, it's an evil being; this concept is what we call Artificial General Intelligence or AGI.

AGI is considered intelligent intelligence or more so than the human brain. Which implies it is a conscious being thinking on its own. As of now, this is still science fiction.

What we do have is what's called Artificial Narrow Intelligence or "weak" AI. This is purpose-built AI with the idea to augment or replace humans in a specific task.

Don't Let the Name Fool You!

While the name "narrow" and "weak" may imply narrow possibilities, this AI has pulled off some rather amazing feats. For example, self-driving cars, Google assistants, navigation tools, and other systems that appear to interact with us are all  AI.

As much as we may feel like it, they don't actually think on their own. Rather they pull from data sets and perform the exact task they were made to do.

This AI can collect and process data significantly faster than any person and, through its use, allows for greater productivity and greater accuracy. When the world conditions shift so quickly, it's imperative informed decisions can be made just as fast.

Getting AI in the Hands of the Decision Maker

This is why not only should you have a futurist role in your leadership, but you should be investing in intuitive AI systems to augment your teams.

In other words, you need futurist or strategy purposed AI. And it needs to be partnered with your C-Suite so the information and analysis can be interpreted by those with authority to make actionable, expert decisions.

You need the power of AI to keep up with how quickly information changes and to help you anticipate what changes may come. Well purposed AI will give you sight when you would've been moving forward blind.

AI is the Vehicle to the Future

AI solutions are available from customer service to accounting to digital marketing. In a world in which the amount of data is on a pathway of doubling every two years, reliance on instincts alone as decision-makers is no longer a viable option.

Then throw in unanticipated global events. You're now in a situation where if your C-suite isn't using AI for strategy planning and futurist analysis, your company is going to be in trouble.
